The option to customise the impedance of the speaker drivers according to the number of products assembled allows the system's performance to be adjusted to enjoy an exceptional, bespoke installation.

BERYLLIUM TWEETER

The only metal rigid enough to scratch glass, Beryllium is the material of choice for a tweeter cone. Thanks to the creation of a pure Beryllium inverted dome capable of covering over five octaves, the only one of its kind in the world, the purity of the sound reproduction is incomparable.

The closed-back and bi-amplifier 1000 IWLCR Utopia loudspeaker deliver unrivalled sound quality. It will do so unobtrusively thanks to its magnetic grille, which comes ready to paint to suit your home’s interior.

Made in France, its four subwoofers with their ‘W’ cone, combined with the Beryllium tweeter and two midranges with their ‘M’-shaped ‘W’ cones, deliver sound with absolute purity and finesse. In addition, thanks to the midrange-treble plate in the d'Appolito configuration, and with different options for the speaker driver settings, you can customise the entire system to suit your listening room.

Offering the best performance for left, central or right use, 1000 IWLCR Utopia is the Home Cinema installation without compromise. It picks up minute sound details in your films, as well as your stereo music listening sessions.

For the ultimate installation, the 1000 IWSUB Utopia subwoofer has been specially designed to be assembled with the 1000 IWLCR Utopia and to offer exceptional bass. On a single amplification channel, you can have one 1000 IWLCR Utopia loudspeaker combined with as many 1000 IWSUB Utopia subwoofers as you wish. Your imagination is the only limit to the assembly options.

THE ULTIMATE HOME CINEMA EXPERIENCE

The direction of the midrange-treble plate can be adjusted and comes in the d’Appolito configuration, allowing it to be perfectly adjusted to the listening position. It can also be positioned in the central, left or right channel, which combined with the option to adjust the level of each speaker driver, allows you to customise your system as desired.

THE “W” COMPOSITE SANDWICH CONE

The “W” composite sandwich cone permits total optimization of the frequency response curve, thanks to the total control of three key parameters: lightness, rigidity and damping. At Focal, the letter “W” means Glass/ Glass, as it usually has two sheets of woven glass tissue that are “sandwiched” onto the structural foam core. The glass tissue benefits from the incredibly fine weaving of very long fibres. This choice offers a mass and a size clearly inferior to those in Aramid fibers or other Kevlar® fabrics, which generate coloration in the midrange. It’s also important to note that the molecular bond between the resin and the glass is greater than that obtained with Aramid fibres. The cone structure is more homogeneous and its behavior in flex is much more superior.
